There are many indivuals in the wider TECo community that make it the success that it is and we would like to say thank you to all those amazing people.
If you would like to put faces to names and find out a bit about the committee though, here we are!
Zoë – Chair
Former treasurer and founder member, Zoë is dedicated to making Trowbridge a more vibrant, beautiful and sustainable place now and for future generations. She leads on the Repair Cafe and Party Kits but likes to get involved on as many fronts as possible both at activities and behind the scenes.
Marie – Vice Chair
Founder member. Lots of interest in environmental issues and helping Trowbridge cherish and grow its green spaces for everyone. Marie enjoys being part of TECo and getting stuck into as many projects as the week allows – with a creative hat on or trowel in hand.
Will – Secretary
Been a member for about 2 years, currently committee secretary. Like getting involved in litter picking, river clean-ups, Repair Cafe. Love walking in the wonderful countryside (K and A canal path, Avebury, Stourhead etc). Trowbridge is a great town to live in because there is so much potential here for change for the better and so many people around with so much enthusiasm.
Lucy – Treasurer/Newsletter
Lucy joined TECo last autumn and is current Treasurer and writer of the newsletter. She moved to Trowbridge 4 years ago and is always seeking out creative and community-based activities. Lucy is keen to help improve our little town alongside the lovely people who live here, involving her young family as much as possible.
John – Membership Secretary
John has taken on the role of Membership Secretary, to help people support and engage with TECo’s exciting projects. He enjoys running and walking around Trowbridge, getting his hands and boots dirty, and encouraging family and friends to get out into nature.
Fran
A biomedical scientist by trade, Fran enjoys getting creative, fixing things and spending time around town with her kids. Fran would love everyone in Trowbridge to be proud of their home town and involved in the community.
Sophie
A relatively new member of TECo, Sophie is passionate about rewilding her garden and exploring the natural world with her children. She enjoys doing what she can to reduce her family’s carbon footprint and discussing environmental issues with others. She thinks Trowbridge is a brilliant place and is glad to be a part of what TECo is doing for the area.
Matt
Former chair of Trowbridge ECo and founding member, Matt is a local warden for a nature reserve and keen on anything wildlife related. Matt really loves watching the swifts screaming over Newtown in the summer, one of the highlights of living in Trowbridge,
Sonia
Joined in with a TECo litter pick in 2020 and has been involved ever since! Sonia has a particular interest in the GROW allotment group, but enjoys getting stuck in with other projects and as of Jan 2023 is looking after the website. Sonia works with teenagers and is keen to encourage the young people of Trowbridge to be environmentally aware and to get involved.
